Employment History:

     Brooke High School chemistry and general science 1973 to 1978

     National Science Foundation grant : Introductory Physical Science (I.P.S.)  workshop.

 

National Steel Corporation 1978 to 1979

     Support the Brown's Island coke battery and main coke battery through raw materials

     proximate analysis.

 

Weirton Steel Corporation 1979 to 2004

     Coal and Coke Laboratory to monitor and analyze raw materials for the coke batteries

     and four primary blast furnaces.

     Main Laboratory as a chemist to monitor and analyze mill wide raw materials,                    .

     in process products, and customer support. 

     Research and Development Laboratory as a research scientist to support ongoing research

     projects and to develop and improve existing operational processes mill wide

     through analytical laboratory investigation.  Inductive Coupled Plasma (I.C.P.), Technical

     Training Center from the Perkin Elmer Corporation, Chicago.

     Micoscopical Analysis of Bulk Asbestos certification: Support  construction department as

     various repairs are made, replacements, and revamping of mill processes by analyzing

     materials for the hazards of asbestos.  Asbestos training at the Walter McCrone Research

     Institute, Chicago.     

     International Standards Organization (I.S.O.), a quality management program used at

     analytical services as a quality tool.  Analytical services chemical methods were

     developed to aquire certification.

  

 Wheeling Central Catholic High School 2004 to present

     Teaching and developing our students to function and succeed through 

     our faith in God.  Investigating the natural world through Chemistry and Physics

     will aide in their success.
