Promise Scholarship
- ACT - The minimum composite score required for Promise is 22. In each of the subtests of Math, English, Reading, and Science a minimum score of 20 is required.
You may take up to the June 12th test to qualify for PROMISE.
- SAT - The minimum composite score required for Promise is 1020. In the subtest of Critical Reading a minimum 490 is required and in the subtest Mathematics a minimum 480 is required.
You may take up to the June 5th test to qualify for PROMISE.
- ACT or SAT scores cannot be combined from multiple test administrations. In addition, the ACT and/or SAT Writing portion(s) will NOT be used in calculating minimum comosite scores for the PROMISE Scholarship.
- In addition to ACT and SAT requirements, you must have a 3.0 cumulative overall gpa and a 3.0 cumulative core gpa. Overall means all the classes you have taken since you enrolled in 9th grade, up to and including your senior year classes. The core means classes in these four disciplines: math, science, history, english. Cumulative overall and cumulative core grade point averages are available in the CPO. All seniors, juniors, and sophomores were given their overall and core GPAs in September. Also, all qualifying Seniors will be taken to the computer lab and will be applying for the PROMISE scholarship in January.
- The PROMISE application deadline is March 1, 2010.
