Hi! I would love to hear from my classmates! My e-mail address is johnjohnfrazier@aol.com Please share this with everyone! Thanks!

from Kris (Milvet) Matyskiela (1991) e-mail on June 5, 2006.
Life has truly been wonderful! My husband, Eric, and I celebrated our 12 year wedding anniversary June 4, 2006. What a wonderful blessing!
I am the Academic Support Program Coordinator and also part-time faculty at WV Northern Community College. I have acted as an Adjunct Professor of Philosophy at WLSC and also at Northern, where I taught Biology, Philosophy, and Microbiology. My real passion; however, is art and music. I play violin, viola, and cello! I am a trained philosopher (WVU), wrote my undergrad thesis on Aristotle's Metaphysical structure of Being and received the prestigious "Daniel B. Purinton, Jr." Scholarship in Philosophy. Truly, an honor I was surprised to receive from the Department of Philosophy at WVU. I am slowly but surely working on a Master's degree in Reformed Theology. Eric is an Architectural Engineer and is "famous" for many of the structures here in Wheeling. He also fishes professional bass tournaments - in his free time. He is partner for an architectural and engineering firm - Carroll, Matyskiela, and Grant.
God has truly been good to us! Eric and I were both saved and baptized together, December of 2004 - our most precious "birthdays". I hope and pray that all of you are doing well!!

Love and peace in Christ!

from Tom Murry (1998) e-mail on May 21, 2006.
After getting my Masters in Education, I moved to Pennsylvania and became a Child Therapist. I have been working with Autistic children mostly. In the little bit of free time I do have, I am playing for an Adult baseball league in the area. In September, I will begin my PhD program at Penn State.
Hope everyone is doing well, especially the class of 98.
Tom .

from Amanda (Schnelle) Murphy (1995) e-mail on March 3, 2006.
I graduated from Wayne State University (Detroit) in 2005 with a Master in Library and Information Science degree and moved away from my family and joined my husband in the Youngstown, Ohio area. I've been working for the past year as the Children's Librarian for the five branches of the Warren-Trumbull County Public Library in Warren, Ohio. We purchased our first house this past December.
from Michelle Thompson (1995) e-mail on February 2, 2006.
After graduating from WJU in '99 with a BA in Spanish and a teaching license for grades 5-12, I moved to Seaside Heights, NJ and taught Spanish at Lake Riviera Middle School in Brick, NJ. Although I lived only a block and a half away from the ocean (and boardwalk), I missed my family and friends here in Wheeling and decided to move back home. Currently, I am a full-time 6th grade teacher at St. Michael Parish School in Wheeling, where I have been teaching for the past seven years.
from Joe Battocletti (1965) e-mail on September 1, 2005.
After cratering out at a couple of colleges I got into commercial broadcasting fulltime in the late 1960's.That led to the life-changing event of marrying my wife of 35 years, Rita, whom I met while working in Atlantic City, NJ. We have been in metro Detroit since 1970, first at CKLW, the old rock-n-roll 'Big-8' and since 1976 at all-news WWJ-AM where I co-anchor the 5-10AM news. Being a fan of the WVU Mountaineers is a bond with Michigan and Mich State rooters in our shared disdain for Ohio State. People in Detroit know Wheeling as the home of UAW legend Walter Reuther. The shock & pain here when the Archdiocese closed 6 High Schools this year woke me up to how precious the CCHS legacy is. I'm glad the Maroon Knights are still thriving.
from JoAnn White (1991) e-mail on August 20, 2005.
Hi All! Entering my 7th year of teaching in Ohio County Schools with a new placement at Warwood School. I finished my M.A. in Special Education in '02, married David White ('95) in '03, and our first child was born 7/25/05--a little girl named Sophie Rose. Hope to hear from some of you!
from Chas Hamm (1993) e-mail on August 4, 2005.
Hello:
I hope that everyone is doing well. Does anyone have pictures of the 5 year (1998) or ten year (2003) reunions for our class of 1993?

Thanks,
Chas Hamm

from Paul Nocida (1993) e-mail on May 22, 2005.
Hi, gang! Well, after 8 years of living in the Pittsburgh, PA area, the time has come to move on, literally! Amy (Malinosky, 1995) and I are in the process of relocating to Columbia, SC. I have recently accepted a position as Quality Manager for the Intertape Polymer Group, Columbia Site. In this role, I will be overseeing all quality aspects of the manufacture of various adhesives for both the commercial and industrial markets, as well as implementing an ISO-9001 system. One of our largest selling items is one of the most commonly used "fix-it" tapes known to man: duct tape! We also manufacture masking and packaging tapes of various grades for use in many different markets. Amy has spent the last 3 years teaching for the Pennsylvania Virtual Charter School. To explain it simply, this revolutionary internet-based school is basically a publicly funded and guided home school. The teachers work with the home-parent to ensure that the students are absorbing the material and completing the lessons. Once we get settled in our new locale, Amy will be pursuing a teaching position with one of the schools here in the Columbia area. Drop us a line if you are going to be in the SC area anytime in the near future!
from Michael J. Schreyer (1981) e-mail on May 13, 2005.
I am working on a project that would benefit greatly from the prayers of my fellow alumnae. The Washington Post recently carried this article about our proposed new high school, to be known as Pope John Paul II Academy, in Charles County, Maryland.
from Mike Bishop (1991) e-mail on February 10, 2005.
Hello to all. '91 graduate, 2 years at Marshall followed by enlisting in the Navy in '93. Naval Aircrewman for two tours (Guam, Whidbey Island, WA) then the Navy sent me back to school to finish my degree. In Columbus at The Ohio State for two years followed by a commission in the Navy and off to flight school. Earned my wings of gold in June 2002, and went off the FRS (Fleet Replacement Squadron) in Jacksonville, FL. Finished up in the spring of 2003, just in time to meet my squadron out on deployment in the Persian Gulf for Iraqi Freedom. Stationed again out in Whidbey Island, WA, just north of Seattle. Married my girlfriend of six years in 2002, and we just had our first child, a beautiful little girl, Kathleen Suzanne, in May '04. Love to hear from any of the class of '91 or anyone else from way back when... Take care.
from Heather (Smith) Henthorne (1992) e-mail on December 6, 2004.
Dan and I have recently relocated back to Wheeling after a few years of moving from Houston TX, to Northern Virginia and more recently the eastern- panhandle of WV. Dan has worked for the Honeywell Corp (as a chemical engineer), Edwards and Kelsey Technologies (as a control systems engineer for Government agencies, Chicago Ohare airport, Boston's Logan airport, AOL...) and is presently working as the chief control-systems software engineer with American Heuristics in Triadelphia. I have been a medical assistant, as well as an office manager for several different doctor's offices in the past few years, and I am currently enjoying life as a mom to our 3 year old son Jonah while we settle into our new home. We're all kind-of dizzy from the moving around, and are thrilled to be back in Wheeling. The hectic city life and 2-hour-long commutes to work just weren't for us. We have a renewed appreciation for the Ohio-Valley and what a great place it is to raise our son. It's nice to finally be back home with all of our old friends and family. We've already started running into some old class-mates. Can't wait to hear what everyone has been up to....
from Jennifer (Griffiths) Roos (1992) e-mail on September 16, 2004.
Hi! My husband, Joe and I are currently living in Syracuse, NY. We've been married for 7 years and have three sons - our two year old, Ryan, and 3 month old twins, Sean and Evan. Joe now works full time for the New York Air National Guard in Rome, NY (apparently he works with Nicole Fiorilli's uncle! Small world!). We enjoyed living in Italy and Florida before NY. I got my degree from Notre Dame (where I met Joe) in Psychology and enjoyed working as a Red Cross caseworker and a children's counselor before having Ryan. I am a stay-at-home mom now and am loving it. I would love to hear from any classmates! Hope everyone is doing well!
from Heather Large (1990) e-mail on September 9, 2004.
I am living in Wichita Kansas where I have been for the last 12 years. I have been working in Labor and Delivery for the past 7years. I have a beautiful 8 year old daughter who just started 3rd grade. We try to make it back to Wheeling at least once a year but since my parents moved to Florida this year we will not be coming back very often. I would love to hear from some of my classmates and old friends.
from Matthew Schmitt (1991) e-mail on September 7, 2004.
I have been in Denver, CO since May 2001. In April 2004, I started a new job as a PC Support Specialist with First Trust Corporation in Denver, CO. In June I purchased a new house in Edgewater, CO, which is about 5 miles from downtown Denver. I am looking forward to another ski season, as I have some of the best skiing in the world about an hour from Denver. I will be in town for Marcus Mullin's wedding in October, and hope to see many of you that weekend.
from John Frazier (1990) e-mail on August 29, 2004.
My wife and I are expecting our first child in November 2004.
from Scheeren "Satch" Reed (1964) e-mail on July 3, 2004.
I was drafted into the Army in 1966. I ended up spending most of my 2 year commitment at Ft. Belvoir in Northern Virginia. (It beat going to Vietnam). After leaving the army, I worked a couple of years for a graphic arts company, and in 1973 I started my own typesetting company. I sold the business in 1980 and worked as a publications manager for an association for a few years and then started another typesetting company in 1984. I sold it in 1990. In 1993 I traveled overseas, living in Germany for almost 2 years, in Kingston, Jamaica for about a year and in Ulaan Baatar, Mongolia for two years. After coming back in 1997 I started my own web design business (which I still operate) and am a publisher of an online magazine for car restorers (www.secondchancegarage.com).
from Dee Schlag Valenzuela (1989) e-mail on May 21, 2004.
Hello to all my classmates from 1989. After graduating with my Bachelors degree from West Virginia State I moved to Miami and then out to sunny Southern California in 1997. I am the Production Manager for a model home interior design firm called Creative Design Consultants in Costa Mesa, CA and fortunately I love my job. I’ve yet to go back to West Virginia to visit since I moved to CA, so I have no clue what it looks like or who is doing what now. Since our class reunion is this year I wanted to say hi and wish everyone well. I keep in contact with just a couple people from our class but would love to find out what’s up if you would like to email me. My address is deev@cdcdesigns.com.

from Brent Salvadori (1991) e-mail on March 28, 2004.
Greetings everyone! Well I guess I'll start with leaving Wheeling in January of 1992 for the Air Force. My first assignment out of basic training took me to Germany. While there, I met my wife Karin. We married in April of 1996. I remained in Germany until 1999. I was then reassigned to Mountain Home, Idaho. After four years, I took an instructor job at Tyndall AFB, Florida (Panama City). My original job in the Air Force is an F-15 mechanic. I became an instructor and I was teaching the new troops on how to perform daily tasks on the F-15. Currently I've moved over to the F/A-22. So for the next three years, I'll be teaching students on the newest tactical aircraft. I'll be visiting my family in Wheeling this summer in June for a couple of weeks.

Take care,

Brent Salvadori, TSgt

My husband and I relocated to the Detroit metro area in July 2003. Currently I am working fulltime as a Library Assistant at Marygrove College(Detroit). I am also in my first semester as a fulltime student at Wayne State University in the Masters of Library and Information Science Program. I am hoping to become a full fledged librarian by December 2005. Surely not much of a surprise for those who remember me best with my nose stuck in a book!

Hope everyone is well from the class of 1998. I graduated from Bethany College in May of 2003 with a degree in Teaching. I also got married in May of 2003 to a wonderful man named Brian Davis, who also graduated from Bethany in 2001, with a degree in Athletic Training/Teaching. We are expecting our first child on April 9, 2004. (It's a boy) I am looking forward to seeing more news about our class in the future. Hope all is well and hope to see all of you at the ten year reunion.
