BUS638 General Business (Junior-Senior / Year)
This course is an introduction to common business principles and practices. Topics include: the American enterprise system, the impact of computer technology, consumer rights and responsibilities, the financial services industry, money management, credit, savings and investments, insurance, and business structures.
BUS643 Accounting I (Junior-Senior / Year)
This course teaches accounting knowledge and skills needed for beginning accounting careers, for careers in related business fields, and for a foundation on which to continue the study of accounting at the college level. Students learn the accounting procedures for a proprietorship and then a partnership. At the end of the course a practice simulation of a partnership must be completed.
BUS649 Automated Accounting (Junior-Senior / Semester)
This course teaches computerized accounting using a hands-on approach. Students learn to operate the software by entering realistic accounting transactions for a variety of business applications and by generating financial statements as well as other management information reports.
BUS653 Sales/Marketing (Junior-Senior / Year)
This course provides a comprehensive overview of the marketing process and marketing strategies. The course shows the development of products from their source, through construction of a prototype, to eventual distribution to the consumer.
BUS655 Personal Finances (Junior-Senior / Semester)
